Many people have never thought about the answer to this question or spent very much time thinking about  or taking an active role in improving their own  heath. Most people spend more time watching television or surfing the web than they do considering what steps they can take to improve their health.  

Health markers such as blood pressure, cholesterol, waist circumference, blood sugar, chronic pain,and mental and emotional stress, are factors you can control. Disease states will manifest when the body is out of balance, the  nutritional state is inadequate, or the toxic load on the body is more than what the bodily systems can handle.

 Whether you are interested in prevention or management, the attainment of wellness  rests squarely on the choices you are making.
